Apple Jerky Recipe:

1 apple (honeycrisp, fuji, gala, granny smith, etc.)

1 lemon wedge *optional

1 TBS honey *optional

Sprinkle of cinnamon *optional

*optional ingredients: You may omit these ingredients for a 1 ingredient treat.

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

2. Mix the juice of the lemon wedge, honey, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

3. With an apple corer/slicer/peeler tool or kitchen knife, cut apples into ¼” slices.

4. Lay apple slices on to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. Using a pastry brush or spoon, coat apple slices with the honey, lemon, and cinnamon mixture.

6. Bake for a total of 2-3 hours. Depending on how soft you want the apples to be. In this video, I baked the apple jerky for 3 hours. Flip apples mid-way for even baking.

7. Let apple jerky cool completely before enjoying them with your dogs!

Storage instructions:

1. In an airtight container, refrigerate apple jerky for up to 5 days.
